Helen has been described as as "the go-to lawyer" for station related work by Chambers and Partners Legal Directory. She played a significant role in the development of station documentation from scratch during rail privatisation, and has been instrumental in the development of station template documentation ever since, including the 99-year FRI station lease.

Helen has been recognised for many years as a leader in the field in rail transport and has been awarded numerous accolades. She has substantial experience in advising on large rail projects, which have included new track and infrastructure, new stations and depots (land assembly, legal structure, asset protection and bringing into operational use), station redevelopments and Station Change.

She recently advised the Department for Transport in connection with the leases required for the redevelopment of Waterloo International Terminal, both to regenerate disused central London real estate and to enable the old international platforms to be used integrally with the adjacent Waterloo station. In addition, she advises the Department for Transport in connection with the Secretary of State's heritage rail estate.

Helen also advises a number of train operators and other industry stakeholders on Station development schemes and with regard to station trading and their occupational needs.
